Pigeon Nets for Apartment Balconies
The balcony is the place pigeons love most in Hyderabad apartments – a ledge to sit on, a corner to nest in and usually food or water nearby. Our pigeon nets for balconies seal the open side of the balcony with a transparent net, so pigeons cannot land or nest, while light and fresh air still come through.
Balcony Types We Cover
- Open balconies with parapet walls – the net runs from the parapet top to the ceiling slab.
- Grill balconies – the net is tied behind or in front of the grill to close the gaps pigeons squeeze through. See also grill balcony safety nets.
- Balconies with sliding doors or glass railings – fixing points are chosen so they do not touch the glass or block the sliding track.
- Utility balconies and sit-outs – often next to the kitchen, where pigeons are drawn by food.
Why Choose a Net Over Other Methods?
Spikes and gels only stop pigeons sitting on a ledge; they do not stop them flying into the balcony. A net closes the whole opening, so it is the only complete solution for a balcony. Spikes still make sense for the outer ledges and AC unit tops – see bird spikes.
Living With a Balcony Net
- Clothes drying, plants and seating stay exactly as before.
- Most nets can be opened at one corner for window cleaning or painting.
- Families with small children often combine the pigeon net with a stronger children safety net in the same visit.
Cleaning Up Before We Fit the Net
If pigeons have already nested, remove eggs or empty nests and clean droppings first (wear a mask and gloves). Fitting the net over an active nest traps birds inside, so we always check the balcony before closing it.
